Off to the Heart of The Rust Belt, Cleveland, for to make videos. Awaiting my flight out from Chicago, I had plenty of time to draw a very settled in gent by the departure gate.
Also swung by the amazing Cuyahoga County Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Monument.
Drawn with fountain pen and Pitt Artist Pens on #stillmanandbirn sketchbook.

Took some pics of the crazy patterns and calligraphy the repair crews made by drizzling hot tar on the cracks in the street. Presumably to seal damage from snow plows and to prevent further damage after water freezes and expands in the cracks. I called this Cleveland Calligraphy and Hot Tar Script.
Videos, what videos, instructional videos I hope? Love your work, would love to see how you tackle sketching your subjects from start to finish with the Faber-Castell tools!
Along the lines of what Paul asked… Will you be “touring” to art supply spots (on behalf of Faber-Castell) again.
And the Street Script… It’s all over the world; landing instructions for alien spacecraft!
Should be starting up again in 2022. I hadn’t considered alien messages. Most likely they say “No real intelligent life to be found. Contentious species abound, planet is more trouble than it’s worth.
I’m already on the internet with short videos containing some of my methods. They’re short but free. Some are on this site but others are out there and easy enough to find Paul. I am still looking for a videographer to work with for longer instructional videos, but those will not be free. Cheers.
