Hiring Range $70,387.20 to $93,828.80
Pay Range $70,387.20 to $105,560.00

Clinician II

Hiring Range $80,579.20 to $107,432.00
Pay Range $80,579.20 to $120,868.80

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Clinician-Rural is responsible for working with customer-owners in rural communities to address psychological symptoms and conditions using the bio-psychosocial model. The employee in this role will provide clinical interventions tailored to the customer-owner needs including brief intervention, crisis intervention, and long-term treatment.

This position has two (2) levels. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

This position is Anchorage-based but includes frequent travel to multiple remote villages. The Rural Clinician works on a multidisciplinary team alongside medical professionals in an intimate clinic setting. Additionally, the Rural Clinician is encouraged to participate in the communities by attending cultural and healthcare events and by providing educational presentations and learning circles. The employee in this role will provide clinical interventions tailored to the customer-owner needs including brief intervention, crisis intervention, and long-term treatment.

**Requires extensive travel by small aircraft to rural locations.**

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in behavioral health field including Counseling, Psychology or Social Work; OR PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Obtain Alaska Clinical Licensure in designated field within four (4) years of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS as required for specialty.

Additional Qualifications for Clinician Rural II:

Two (2) years of supervised clinical work experience for Master’s level behavioral health; OR Two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience for PhD or PsyD level; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician I at SCF.
Current Alaska Clinical Licensure in designated field.

Native Preference:

Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.
