Position Title : Business Intelligence Analyst

Location : Regina, SK

Overview :

Charter is currently seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team starting July 2025 in Regina, SK. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or equivalent roles, with experience in data management principles, business intelligence tools, and data architectural methodologies. The role will be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that enable an organization to achieve its digital transformation goals. Previous experience developing and optimizing SQL queries, creating and maintaining reporting and SQL scripts, and providing insights into changing reporting needs/requirements is required. Experience in Power BI (Power Query, DAX) and cloud services (Power BI Service, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks) is also required. Location: Regina, SK (Onsite). Term: Nine (9) Months. Strong possibility of extension.

Qualifications and Experience :

• 10+ years of experience, within the last 15 years working with modern data management principles, in a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.
• Experience designing and implementing technology solutions that enable an organization to achieve its digital transformation goals.
• Experience in data architectural methodologies application.
• Experience identifying potential technical risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the success of projects.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience creating and maintaining reporting and SQL scripts.
• Experience in Power BI and other business intelligence reporting environments is required. Strong knowledge of Power Query and DAX within the Power BI environment.
• Experience in cloud services, including Power BI Service, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.
• Experience in Lakehouse architecture and Delta format.
• Experience providing insights into the changing reporting needs and requirements of the company and offer suggestions for technical solutions.
• Experience analyzing complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
• Experience overseeing the integration and visualization of data from legacy and on-premises systems to new solutions.
• Experience in content management and data management programs and governance.
• Knowledge of star schema and analytical data models.
• Knowledge of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and industry security standards.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Sciences or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
