Business Technology Integrators (BTI) Government Contracting Company located in Upper Marlboro, MD is Seeking Experience CDL Drivers in support of VA Relocation Services.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Drivers to operate assigned vehicles for local moves in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the vehicle loading process , ensuring safe transportation of shipments, and completing accurate documentation . This role requires strong judgment, attention to safety, and compliance with all FMCSR requirements .

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate assigned vehicles in accordance with FMCSR guidelines and company policies for local moves.
• Oversee the vehicle loading process , ensuring shipments are properly secured to prevent damage, injuries, or accidents.
• Use good judgment to build and balance loads for safe transportation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and operational procedures .
• Complete accurate documentation , including logs, inspection reports, and any required paperwork.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety , following proper driving techniques and defensive driving strategies.
• Successfully complete and pass all FMCSR qualification requirements for vehicle operation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class A or B (as required for assigned vehicles).
• Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) requirements for driver qualification.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, transportation, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of proper loading, securing, and weight distribution techniques .
• Strong attention to safety and compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to complete and maintain accurate documentation and logs .
• Physical ability to load/unload cargo as necessary.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills to assess load safety and road conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with local moving or transportation services .
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting .
• Defensive driving certification or additional safety training is a plus.
