Salary: <$120k (depending on experience)

Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office (please see on-site requirements below)

**On-Site Requirements: Position may require on-site work at Patuxent River, MD one day per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with requirements gathering/analysis and data analysis for a software development or data warehousing team. The candidate should possess a strong background in SQL and have experience working with analytical tools such as Excel, Business Objects, Qlik, Tableau, and/or PowerApps/Power BI.

  • Work with the Project Manager and customers to elicit and document business/functional requirements and translate into technical specifications.
  • Perform data collection, data analysis, testing, and troubleshooting on large quantities of business operations data from databases, systems, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Provide configuration and/or data management for data, information, files, and documents.
  • Provide functional testing of data mappings, applications, visualizations, and reporting.
  • Create and update mapping documentation/spreadsheets.
  • Generate reports and prepare presentation material.

Requirements

Required:

  • Experience conducting requirements analysis and documenting requirements for development.
  • Experience conducting data analysis with large data sets.
  • Experience developing and executing SQL queries in Business Objects/TOAD/Cognos or similar BI tool.
  • Experience with one or more of the following analysis/visualization tools: Business Objects, Qlik, Tableau or PowerApps/Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, macros, VBA).
  • BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with NAVAIR/NAWC business data systems.
  • Experience developing/creating reports with Business Objects or other BI query tool.
  • Experience providing support to NAVAIR IT organization/environment.

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education/Experience:

BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
