TRC's partner, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant (HMGMA) has a direct hire opportunity for a Supervisor of Maintenance, Automation, and Systems Operations to join their team.
This is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied.
The Supervisor of Maintenance, Automation, and Systems Operations is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of automated systems and equipment within the organization. This role ensures the smooth functioning of all maintenance activities, provides leadership to the team, and supports system integration and automation efforts. The supervisor will also manage system reporting, budgeting, inventory control, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
General Management:
• Monitor, coordinate, and perform technical processes related to maintenance, automation, and systems operations to meet company goals.
• Provide periodic updates on the status of assigned tasks, from initiation through to completion.
• Develop and execute action plans to meet shop-specific maintenance objectives, including minimizing downtime, ensuring effective preventive maintenance (PM), monitoring equipment, and making improvements.
• Implement and maintain an efficient reporting system to track maintenance performance.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of systems, including SAP PM, patrol, and equipment monitoring systems, while coordinating with the system development team for setup and training across all sections.
• Maintain and analyze key maintenance metrics (budget, downtime, manpower, PM, spare parts), and regularly report results to the Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure the SAP and PM systems are updated daily, reflecting each shop’s PM activities.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration by organizing meetings and events with support from the Maintenance Manager.
• Be flexible with work hours to accommodate shift rotations, and respond promptly to urgent equipment issues outside regular hours (nights, weekends, and holidays).
Budget & Spare Parts Management:
• Analyze and track the maintenance department’s budget on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Oversee the purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance materials, including tools, spare parts, and subsidiary materials.
• Procure common office supplies and departmental items (office supplies, tools, lubricants, etc.).
• Develop and execute a parts management strategy, conducting quarterly audits to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Other Duties:
• Ensure all maintenance operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and manage the activities of external contractors under AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) agreements.
• Oversee the training and management of the SAP PM module and PDA system within the maintenance department to ensure consistency and efficiency in system operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and automation within automated plants or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP PM module and patrol systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical system diagrams and specifications.
Preferred:
• 2+ years of experience in the automotive or related manufacturing industry.
• Certifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with AB PLC programming and control circuits.
• Proven experience with equipment installations, including design studies, documentation, inspection, and testing of new or modified equipment and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
