Job Description: We are seeking a talented and creative Part-Time Event Designer & Planner to join our team for a seasonal position through November 1st, 2025. This role involves working on an as-needed basis for various events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a solid understanding of client needs, and the ability to research and source appropriate rentals and decor that align with the client’s vision.

As an Event Designer & Planner, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation & Vision Development:

• Meet with clients (or collaborate with event planners) to fully understand their vision for the event, including themes, color schemes, and the desired atmosphere.

Design Creation:

• Conceptualize, design, and plan the aesthetic elements of events, ensuring all design components align with the client’s vision and brand identity.

Research & Sourcing:

• Identify, research, and source rental items (e.g., furniture, decor, linens, tableware, lighting, etc.) that match the design plan and budget.

Vendor Coordination:

• Collaborate with vendors and rental companies to secure the necessary materials and ensure timely delivery and setup of design elements.

Presentation of Design:

• Prepare and present event design proposals to clients, clearly explaining the vision and how it will be executed. Adjust design concepts based on client feedback and budget.

Event Setup & Coordination:

• Assist in the setup of the event, ensuring all design elements are installed as planned, and troubleshoot any design-related issues during the event execution.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in event design and planning, with a portfolio showcasing previous work (optional but preferred).
• Strong understanding of event planning processes, including theme development, design principles, and logistical coordination.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) is a plus.
• A passion for creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of current design trends and event rental options.
• Ability to work with a wide range of clients and adapt to different event styles and budgets.

Compensation:

This is a part-time, seasonal position through November 1st, 2025 with a pay range of $22-25/hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

This role is flexible and will require availability for events on an as-needed basis. Workload will vary depending on the event calendar.
