As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are hiring a Human Resources Generalist for our Central Business Office located in Jacksonville, FL !

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all employees.
  • Responsible for managing employee relations and performance issues, and participates in the management of health and welfare, and retirement plans.
  • Serves as a primary point of conduct for client queries, efficiently managing and escalating issues as needed. Provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees around employment issues.
  • Facilitates and monitors Family Medical Leave, Leaves of Absence, requests for accommodation, employment verifications, SOS HR inbox, workplace injuries, Short- & Long-Term Disability, and worker’s compensation claims.
  • Supports leadership in department re-organizations, new job descriptions, and performance management.
  • Active participant in Open Enrollment activities, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement.
  • Provides consistent information and counsel to leaders and staff, always treating employees as our most valuable asset.
  • Interview employees and leaders to gather information regarding general factors that affect workforce morale, motivation, and efficiency.
  • Coordinates the internal transfer process with department managers and employees.
  • Maintains, updates, and refines our SOPs, policies and procedures, and Intranet updates.
  • Responsible for job requisitions and prescreens of Scribes, Medical Office Schedulers, and Front Office Representatives as assigned.
  • The duties listed are not exhaustive and may be varied from time to time as dictated by the changing needs of the organization.
  • The incumbent will be expected to undertake other duties as appropriate and as requested by the HR leader.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Representative in various functional areas of HR to include recruitment, compensation, benefits, and policy administration.
  • Experience with Smartsheet managing the following: Personnel Status Form, Compensation Form, Status Change Form, Termination Form, Clinical Education Program (Students), and Onboarding Request Form.
  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro managing the backend onboarding, E-Verify, processing hires, and login resets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
