Job Description

One of the world's top Consumer Goods Manufacturers is seeking an Indirect Sourcing Manager to be responsible for the procurement of logistics services and other indirect categories as well as leading a small team. This role is on-site in Lexington, KY .

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Oversee procurement activities for various indirect categories such as IT, Real Estate, professional services, and facilities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, improve service levels, and mitigate risks.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing
• Experience managing a team
• Deep understanding of global logistics and supply chain management
• Experience managing multiple categories
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• In-depth understanding of logistics and indirect procurement best practices and market trends.
