Location: Albuquerque, NM (100% onsite - Monday thru Friday)

Job Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $25 - $30 / hr (depending on experience)

Schedule: 1st shift

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide excellent and timely customer service to internal customers in fulfilling the procurement process.

* Manage supplier lead-times to ensure on time delivery of goods and services to match required dates from internal stakeholders.

* Create and manage purchase orders and subcontracts to ensure satisfactory performance.

* Embrace a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to overcome challenges and achieve procurement goals.

* Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including supplier performance data, NDAs, contract information, and pricing agreements.

* Assist in the implementation of procurement strategies and initiatives.

* Work closely with project teams, engineering, communicating, and coordinating related purchases, problems, evaluation of services, minimizing construction risks, etc.

* Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers for specified supplies, while understanding the production processes and internal systems.

* Purchase requirements of assigned materials at the lowest long-term cost for the quantity, quality and delivery required.

* Negotiate the lowest possible long-term cost through competitive bidding and market supply knowledge

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor"s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience

* Interest in supply chain process and able to communicate effectively with the team throughout the supply chain process

* Attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience with RFP process to identify best suppliers
