Job Overview
The Manager, Distribution & Logistics is a hands-on, tactical role responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics, working closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight carriers, and internal teams to ensure efficient distribution of Sequel’s products. This individual contributor role requires expertise in managing daily logistics and distribution operations, optimizing freight and inventory movements, and driving operational efficiencies in a fast-paced startup environment.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Logistics Operations & Freight Management
  • Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of products and components.
  • Manage relationships with 3PL partners, freight providers, and distribution centers to ensure high service levels.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments of manufactured and procured components, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Support load tendering, shipment scheduling, and carrier performance tracking.
  • Assist in resolving logistics and transportation issues, including delays, damages, and compliance concerns.
Distribution & Inventory Coordination
  • Ensure proper consolidation and kitting of manufactured products before final distribution.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align logistics activities with customer demand and business objectives.
  • Support finished goods distribution within the U.S. and EU, ensuring on-time delivery and order accuracy.
  • Monitor warehouse and inventory levels to optimize stock movement and minimize disruptions.
Vendor & Budget Management
  • Act as the primary logistics liaison for freight carriers, kitting operators, and 3PLs.
  • Assist in managing freight budgets, optimizing costs, and identifying savings opportunities.
  • Track and report on logistics performance metrics, including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), freight costs, and inventory accuracy.
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs through data-driven analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements for medical device logistics.
  • Support new product launches and distribution initiatives by coordinating logistics execution.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare or other complex supply chain environment .

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Hands-on experience managing 3PLs, freight providers, and distribution partners.
  • Strong understanding of freight management, warehousing, and order fulfillment best practices.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is preferred.
  • Data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc).
  • Import/export acumen highly preferred, including HTS code classification, SLI/Commercial invoice familiarity, duty/tax/VAT, etc.
  • 3PL inventory alignment and reporting experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving logistics challenges.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
  • Ability to work regularly in the Manchester, NH office.
