Akkodis is seeking a QA Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC / Plano, TX (Hybrid) . This role involves developing comprehensive test cases, executing both manual and automated tests, and working closely with development teams to identify and resolve software defects.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
QA Engineer job responsibilities include:
Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in a Scrum environment, ensuring alignment with story acceptance criteria.
Automate test cases for User-Interface (UI) and database testing using tools like Selenium/Tosca.
Execute both manual and automated tests, including Functional, Integration, and Regression testing, and record test results.
Debug code, report errors and failures, and collaborate with the development team for defect triaging.
Design, develop, and execute automation scripts to improve testing efficiency.
Detect, track, and provide timely solutions for software defects and inconsistencies.
Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle and ensure adherence to project standards and processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in automation testing.
Expertise in using automation tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database testing.
Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries and working with Unix commands.
