This position is for a Senior Tax Advisor (Senior Tax Accountant), with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a public accounting / CPA firm. You would be responsible for preparing more complex individual and corporate tax returns and may conduct the initial review of client deliverables prepared by staff tax accountants.

The ideal candidate is local to the Greenville, SC area and must possess excellent tax and technical knowledge with the ability to recognize planning opportunities and can make decisions on most accounting and tax matters. A Master's degree in Accounting or EA Certificate is required - and must be actively working toward a CPA License.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare more complex income tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040 (schedule C & E))
• Prepare and Participate with Client annual tax planning and projections.
• Resolve tax notices from government agencies
• Review basic tax returns
• Demonstrate an excellent knowledge base of pertinent IRC sections and regulations
• Possess a strong proficiency in tax research
• Support clients and team members with stellar relationships and communication skills
• Assist manager in the training of tax staff accountants on client deliverables, firm processes, and technical skills

• Master's degree in the accounting field of study or EA Certificate required
• CPA certification or working toward exam completion/experience required for licensure, preferred
• Three to five years of experience as a tax accountant in the public accounting industry required
• Proficient in Business Accounting
• Must have Business tax returns experience, some equity/ownership transfer experience desired
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
• Dedicated to superior client service
