The Associate General Counsel of the Copyright Office exercises responsibility at the highest level, delegated from the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel, for a wide range of complex and economically significant tasks related to the protection of copyright in the United States, liaison with Congress, the Department of Justice and other agencies of Government, the courts, the legal community and a wide range of interests affected by the Copyright Law and other matters contained in title 17. Actively participates in the development and presentation of Copyright Office positions, proposals, comments and drafts with respect to domestic legislation and litigation, formulation and promulgation of regulations and the adoption of legal positions governing the practices of the Copyright Office.
