got in about an hour and a half down at the Green City Farmers Market. Second time I’ve done a green only light study there. The day’s light provided dramatic light/shade contrast.
Made in the shade as they say.
Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens on a ruled columnar book.

Well, it was not easy, but it WAS fun. Caught the bookworm sitting in the darkened living room with just a reading light beam bouncing off the wall. I sat nearby using the ambient light to sketch the very striking silhouette of G Babe doing what she so loves to do.
Ink on that groovy PA RR Memorandum & Cash Book.

A ninety minute drawing of Giamila during a favorite activity. Some liberties taken with the color scheme.
Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens on an old Pennsylvania Railroad Memorandum and Cash Book.

In a vineyard at the foothills of the Sierra De Salinas. Drawing plein air on a glorious day as grapes ripen in the morning fog and afternoon sun.

    1. The proud generalissimo astride his dog tired steed. From an Urban Sketchers event at Piazza Missori in Milano. An interesting perspective of the warhorse. Imagine the animal’s POV the first time it is exposed to trauma of battle.

    2. The last image is from a gripping Civil War memorial in downtown Cleveland that shows a horse in the midst of mayhem. Mayhem that General Missori’s hung head horse may well have been in the thick of.
