We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team to deliver in-person lessons to two children in San Diego, CA, USA . The lessons will take place individually at the learners' house.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students improve their English language skills. The ESL Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, developing and delivering English language curriculum, and providing individualized instruction to learners. Location: San Diego, California 92127
Learners' availability for lessons: From Mondays to Fridays in the evenings after school - from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Frequency of lessons: 2x per week
Duration of lessons can be negotiated
Learners' current level of English: Beginner
Learners' native language: Spanish
Duties:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the needs of youth learners.
- Teach English language skills to students, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Use a variety of instructional methods and resources to promote student engagement and learning.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed.
- Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth learners, preferably in an ESL setting.
- Ability to develop and implement effective curriculum for youth language learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with tutoring or individualized instruction.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping others improve their English language skills.
